TERRY PRICE

69, 1806 Lamons Lane, Apt. 108, died Sunday, February 24, 2002 at her residence. She was a Burnsvlle, N. C. native and the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Maude Webb Price. She was a member of Locust Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Price and a sister, Margie Heatherly.

Survivors include; a son, David Price, Douglasville, GA, a granddaughter, Alexandria Price, Chattanooga, TN, a great grandson, Jaden Price, Chattanooga, TN.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES

will be held at 2 P. M. Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Boone at Lamont Street. Friends can meet family at cemetery. There will be no visitation. Family request that memorials be made to Locust Street Church of Christ, 110 West Locust Street, Johnson City, TN 37604 instead of flowers. MRS. ELMINOR STEPHENS 

75, 1150 West 88th Street, Chicago, IL died Tuesday, February 25, 2002 at St. Francis Hospital, Blue Island. She was an Avery, N. C. native and the daughter of the late Arthur and Lottie Avery. She was a former member of General Assembly Church, Johnson City, TN.

            Survivors include;  her husband, Andrew Stephens, Chicago, IL, three sons, James Stephens, Don Stephens, and Gary Stephens,  two daughters,  Dorothy Graves and Annette Stephens, Chicago, IL. a step-son, Terry Stevens, Johnson City, TN. Several nieces and nephews. 

FUNERAL SERVICES 

  will be held Monday, March 4, 2002 at Galtings Funeral Home, 10133 South Halstead St., Chicago, IL.  Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 10 P. M. Sunday at the funeral home. She is survived by a special niece, Virginia Rhea,   Johnson City, TN.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS "LUM" WILLIAMS 

62, 1002 Haws Drive, Jonesborough, Tn. died Friday, February 22, 2002 at his residence. He was a Johnson City native and was a retired U. S. Army veteran after 23 years service. He was presently serving as a Domiciliary Assistant in the Domiciliary Services at the James H. Quillien  V. A. Medical Center. He was graduate of Langston High School, Johnson City and attended Dillard University, New Orleans, LA. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church, Jonesborough, TN, where he served as an Usher. He was a Masonic.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Juanita Woolwine and a brother, Dewitt Williams.

            Survivors include; his wife, Mary Katherine Rhea Williams, of the home, two daughters, Rebecca (Cordell) Malone, Chattanooga, TN,  and Rayshell (Jahvon) Davis-Morris, Nashville, TN, two sons, Christopher Zeke Williams and Gary (Gina) Williams, both of Nashville, TN, four brothers, Eugene Williams, Roanoke, VA, Billy Gene Williams, Johnson City, TN, Kenneth Mack and Robert L. Mack, both of Philadelphia, PA, a sister, Jenora Wade, Johnson City, TN,  eight grandchildren, an uncle, Ted Hartsaw, Johnson City, TN and two aunts, Millie Conley and Rozetta Jackson, both of Johnson City, TN. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

FUNERAL SERVICES

will be held at 1 P. M. Monday, February 25, 2002 at the Bethel Christian Church, 303 Deport Street, Jonesborough, Tn. with Pastor Vincent Dial and Pastor Edgar Wallace officiating. Burial to follow at the V. A. National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. with military honors by the Charles Dewitt Byrd Post 2283. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P. M. MRS. MARY RUTH WILSON

74, 3779 East 151st Street, Cleveland, Ohio died Tuesday, February 19, 2002 in Cleveland. She was a Johnson City native and the daughter of the late George W. and Viola Mae Haynes. She was a graduate of Langston High School, Johnson City, TN and Swift Memorial Junior College, Rogersville, TN. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of East View United Church of Christ, Cleveland, where she served as President of the Womens Guild, Chairperson of the Usher Board, Advisor to the Junior Usher Board, Secretary to the Church Council, and Church Clerk. She later tutored students at A. J. Rickoff Elementary School. She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Dugger, a brother, George W. Haynes, Jr. and a grandson.

Survivors include; her husband, Ulysses "Ted" Wilson, Cleveland, OH, three daughters, Jerry E. Sims and Angela K. Wilson, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Ginger L. Jackson, Stone Mountain, Ga. two sisters, Thelma E. Norris, and Vivian Batey, both of Johnson City, TN, a brother, Ralph S. Haynes, Arlington, TN. Several nieces and nephews.

for Mrs. Nellie Ruth Wilson, 74, Cleveland, Ohio who died Tuesday will be held at 10:30 A. M. Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the East View United Church of Christ, Cleveland, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Valentino Lassiter officiating. Burial to follow at Cleveland Memorial Gardens, Highland Heights, OH. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:30 P. M. CHARLES DAVIDSON "CD" OWENS
72, 1311 East Millard Street, died Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a Johnson City native and the son of the late Rev. T. K. and Mary Elizabeth Forney Owens. He was a brickmason and a member of Thankful Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Kenneth Latta, Carl Eugene Owens and Albert Louis Owens, and a sister, Viola Owens Pass.
Survivors include; his wife, Lavelma Peachie Owens, of the home, a daughter, Debra Owens (Harold) Carson, Johnson City, TN, three sisters, Thelma Elizabeth Fleming, Simpsonville, SC, Mary Luellen Wagner, Upper Marlboro, MD, and Rita June Bradley, Elizabethton, TN, two brothers, Douglas Aurelius Owens, Simpsonville, SC, and Jerry Wayne Owens, Johnson City, TN, three grandsons, Derrick J. Carson, Jeremy D. Carson, and Harold Carson, Jr. all of Johnson City, TN, a great granddaughter, Myah C. Carson.
Several nieces and nephews.

will be held at 1 P. M. Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Thankful Baptist Church, 1501 East Watauga Ave. with Rev. C. Danny Johnson officiating. Burial to follow at Washington County Memory Gardens,. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 P. M. Saturday at the church prior to the services and at other times at the residence.
